If you are a fan of any Hitman games Codename 47 - Blood Money then this title is for you. I am a huge fan of Blood Money, and I got to say that Alekhine's Gun is Blood Money 2.0. The mechanics of the game are nearly identical and so is the gameplay. The difference lies in the era. Blood Money plays in the present while Alekhine's Gun is in cold war. Many levels, features, ways to assassiante feel like they were pulled out of Blood Money and Contracts and it is a good thing!! I wish Absolution did what Blood Moeny and Alekhine's Gun did. Bottom line: If you like Blood Money, you will defintiely like Alekhine's Gun.. This game is not great but it is better than the current Hitman. At the moment there are frequent crashes to the desktop and other problems. But at least you do have levels to complete and not replay the same level over and over and over like Hitman. If you like stealth then this is the better option for the moment. 6/10Still crashing after the 1.01 patch. Totally random crashing. Needs hard reset after words.. Honestly, the greatest game ever made...Plot: A plot line with cutscenes that are♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ i mean no and are 100% not longer than the missions.Gameplay: Literally just a knife massacreGraphics: Imagine the most beautiful thing you've ever seen then times that by 10 billion then you've got Alekhine's GunAI: You can literally just walk past any guard trying to stop you... I mean noBonus: Tank top guys that can detect you even when you're doing nothing... I mean no thatMore coming soon.... Crashes too often, AI not that smartedit: to elaborate mission 3 I went around the corner of the room and whistled. The soldier and scientist looked at where I last whistle while I'm coming back into the room. As their back is turned I shoot the Officer with a silencer. Walk out of the room while their panic about a body being found. Wait 5 minutes.Walk back into the room where everybody is going about their business like their officer wasn't just shot in the head. I do the whistle trick againStip the officer of his clothing including signature glasses. Walk out the room as his naked dead body is still lying thereeverybody is just fine with thatAsked for a refund after that.Also: I'm on a high end pc and it crashed too often which is annoying without an auto save feature.. If you excuse the technical issues this game suffers from and try to play.... there is still nothing but bad bad bad. I believe this game was released in 1997 and if it wasnt it sure looks, plays and feels like it is. AVOID THIS TITLE. Despite all its flaws, Alekhine's Gun is not that bad, and is a decent successor of Death to Spies games. It's pretty similar to old Hitman series, both in visuals and in gameplay. Anyways, I won't pay too much attention to this fact. What's not so good, and, perhaps, is the game's weakest point, - a plot. It's a bit chaotic at least, and the way it's presented is pretty... scarce. Also, there are obviuos problems with the voice-over, the quality is jumping high and low... especially in the last few chapters.Still, it's 6/10 for me.
